Race two was the long 19 nautical miles course taking the boats from Blairgowrie down the start of the South Channel and back to Capel Sound and finishing at Blairgowrie Squadron. Again "The Law Firm" took line honors followed by "Serious Yahoo 11" crewed by the Brown boys with "Intrusion" skippered by Luke Reinher third. The race was completed in three hours and two protests are to be heard tonight as two collisions occurred on the course.

The after race social event saw Councilor and former Mayor Bill Goodram and wife Joan welcomed the S80 fleet to the Shire of Mornington.

Don Collins the Victorian President responded on behalf the S80 Association and presented Blairgowrie Rear Commodore Ian Warner with an S80 Host Club Trophy to be held for the ensuing twelve months.
