AIODA invites all junior sailors to compete in the 9th Australian and Open International Optimist Dinghy Championships being conducted at Frankston Yacht Club in conjunction with the Australian Youth Championships between January 6th and 11th of January 2008.

The local sailing features regular sea breezes, flat water, close course areas, excellent beach launching and lovely warm weather – PERFECT!
With the OAMPS Australian Youth Championships being held at the same time, it is a wonderful opportunity for the junior sailors to see the pathway of the Youths through Lasers, 420’s, Hobies and RSX. During the regatta the kids will get the chance to listen to why the youth sail the boats they do at ‘The Great which boat Debate’
The dates of the Nationals follow shortly after the 2nd Pacific Rim and Open International Optimist Championships at Mornington Yacht Club, just 15 minutes south, between December 27th and 31st, and the inaugural ‘Optisail’ International coaching clinic between the 2nd and 4th of January.
